New Billing Portal FAQ (Updated October 14th)
On Wednesday, April 30th, 2025, Servant 42 switched to a new client billing portal and payment processor. This should be mostly seamless and transparent to you. Payment methods were migrated to the new system automatically. Below are some answers to questions you may have about the change.
On September 1st, 2025, our ACH Originator ID changed to 945440567_ (the _ at the end should be a blank space as the 10th character!). Prior Originator IDs are no longer in use. See the "Will ACH/E-Check payments change?" section below for more details.
Existing payment method migration is complete. AutoPay dates were standardized to the 5th day of the month as of May 1st; see more details below.
Will invoices change?
Nothing changes about our main invoicing process or where they come from, and the existing link to our portal remains the same but takes you to the new portal as of April 30th, 2025, but invoices otherwise remain mostly the same and will continue to be sent from the same email account in the same way they always have. The due date displayed on invoices scheduled for automatic payment will change; see the "How does AutoPay work?" question below for details.
How do I access the new portal?
Since April 30th, 2025, the billing.servant42.com website takes you to the new portal instead of the old portal. This web address is displayed at the top of invoices and in your invoice email, or you can click "Billing Portal" along the top of our website to make sure you securely arrive at the correct location (it's good to distrust links in emails!).
The portal address, billing.servant42.com no longer redirects you to https://servant42.connectboosterportal.com/platform/login which was our old portal, and we ask that you then update or recreate any bookmarks. The new portal is hosted by a company called FlexPoint and you may see their name along with ours on the portal website and authentication emails.
How do I log in to the new portal?
You can visit the portal login page and click the Microsoft SSO (single sign-on) button to sign in with your existing Microsoft account, or enter your email address to receive an email with a 6-digit one-time login code to sign in. The new portal is provided by a vendor called FlexPoint, so you will see their name co-branded with ours. The login email will arrive from the same accounting email from which you receive our invoices.
If you do not receive an email, with a code, or cannot sign in with Microsoft SSO, it's possible we haven't approved your account for portal access. If you receive a copy of our invoice at your email address, or if you were previously authorized to access our portal, we have worked to make access to the new portal work seamlessly. However, it's possible we made a mistake and overlooked a particular email accidentally. We will be reviewing login attempts after the change and will keep an eye out for failed logins that were missed, and will activate these within 24 hours. You can also email our accounting email (replying to an invoice works) to let us know of the issue and we'll get you taken care of!
If someone else in your organization can log in successfully, they may do so and go portal users settings to add anyone else who should have access. Once you are signed in, you may add or remove additional billing portal users yourself at any time!
Will ACH/E-Check payments change?
If you pay with your bank account via ACH (E-Check), payments will come from our new provider for all payments after April 30th, 2025, and then a different new one on or after September 1st, 2025. Some banks require you to pre-authorize the "originator" or "company" ID numbers that are allowed to deduct payments from your account. Because these are changing, you may need to re-add or re-approve our originator ID. Please do this before making a manual ACH payment on our new portal, or prior to the 5th of the month if your invoices are set to autopay. There is a new originator ID to authorize, which you can find inside the new billing portal under the "ACH Bank Accounts" section of the "Payment Methods" area, where there's a link to authorization instructions. The charges will come from Servant 42 and the originator ID is also listed here (there were three originally (0000000040, 1947030001, and 0626060107); this new one replaced them on September 1st):
- 945440567_ (add a blank space at the end where the _ is shown)
If you don't add this as authorized with your bank, transactions may be declined and require additional validation and approval to re-attempt. We recommend you check the billing portal to confirm the correct number above for additional security; only accept the number from the billing portal or our official website, both of which are at our official domain name or the billing subdomain!
Will Credit Card payments change?
Credit card payments should not change and will still appear to come from Servant 42. In rare cases, your credit card issuer may notice that a regular monthly payment is being made to a new processor and may question the first transaction. If this happens we may reach out and ask you to contact your credit card company to ensure they know of the change. We don't anticipate this happening, but it's possible.
Will there be any fees?
We do not currently charge any fees for any types of payment that we accept, and this is not changing today. Should this change at any point in the future, we will provide extensive advance notice. Both our outgoing and new providers offer the option to pass along credit card fees as surcharges; this change is being made to provide better service, not because it adds a new capability to surcharge transactions.
Any future changes will be based on an independent evaluation of the situation. We are a small business and work primarily with small business and small organization owners that we know are well aware of the cost of payment processing, especially for credit cards, from both the vendor and client viewpoints and take that into careful consideration.
How does AutoPay work?
For clients that prefer to have their monthly invoices automatically charged to their payment method on file, our invoices will have a note that says "This invoice will be automatically charged to the payment method we have on file on the due date unless other arrangements are made." and the terms of the invoice havee changed to Net 4 , meaning an AutoPay invoice dated the first of the month will be due and charged on the fifth day of the month. This is a new standard across all automatically paid invoices, and may be a slight change based on previous AutoPay due date scheduling for some clients. AutoPay-eligible invoices will be charged on this invoice due date, and you will receive a payment confirmation from the portal when the payment is charged. Invoices that don't have this notation (including invoices that aren't your normal monthly invoice) will not AutoPay unless you request an adjustment to this setting specifically for you, and regardless of setting, the portal will specifically indicate AutoPay invoices and you will receive reminders via email of upcoming AutoPay transactions.
You can see if an invoice will be automatically paid or not in the billing portal. To enable AutoPay for your account if it is not already, please email us and request that we enable it for your account going forward. We request that all clients enable AutoPay to ensure payment is received in a timely manner, but we understand some clients have specific payment processes. We provide the invoice days in advance of the automatic payment in order to allow you time to review and confirm the details of the invoice before making the charge.
What about the old portal? And bookmarks?
The old portal login page was at https://servant42.connectboosterportal.com/platform/login and going to https://billing.servant42.com takes you to our current portal now instead of redirecting. You may have the old site bookmarked. Credentials to the old portal are deactivated, and you can no longer log in. Please update your bookmarks to the new portal location after visiting the billing.servant42.com page directly, or from clicking the Billing Portal link from the menu on our website.
Do I have to save my payment method?
Payment information is saved only with our payment vendor in a secure, encrypted, tokenized format that we cannot access in full. When making a manual payment, you have the option to make a one-time payment without saving your credit card or bank information. Saving your payment method and checking the box to enable it for AutoPay provides you the ability to re-use the payment method without having to re-enter it in the future. Invoices will only be paid automatically where an invoice explicitly says it will be paid automatically, on the due date, using a payment method that is enabled for AutoPay. Invoices that do not say they will be charged automatically will require manual payment, either from you or by us using a saved payment method when you request us to.
If you would like to enable AutoPay on your monthly invoices, and did not have this set up previously, please reach out to us and ask. Just enabling a payment method for AutoPay will not enable AutoPay fully.
Can I access support from the billing portal?
No, support requests/tickets are separate from billing. We do have a Client Portal (linked in the top menu of our website as well) that provides access for authorized users to support tickets, which we can set up access to on request. This can be configured for Microsoft SSO as well, but enabling access to the billing portal and client support portal are two separate processes and one does not automatically provide access to the other. Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO) is available for both, so for either portal, you can sign in with your existing Microsoft 365 credentials once you have an account.
How do I verify I'm at the correct portal?
We're all about security and making sure you're secure online and we appreciate your skepticism of emailed links and announcements! We've done the following things to help you feel comfortable accessing our new portal, which then uses the same level of security and encrypted payment method vault (that even we can't access) as our previous portal:
- The new portal is at the billing subdomain of our real Servant 42 website, billing.servant42.com
- The main menu on our website at servant42.com links to the Billing Portal directly
- Emailed invoices and notices will continue to come from the same accounting@servant42.com address they always have (one-time login codes will come from here as well)
- We use the latest email configurations to help prevent others from spoofing email from our domain successfully
Even so, we encourage caution with emailed links and are happy for you to access the Billing Portal link from our homepage or by typing it in yourself!
You can always ask us via our published phone number or known-good support and accounting email addresses to confirm if you have any questions!
